Paul George Comes up Short in Dunk Contest

Some people want to say how bad this Slam Dunk Contest is, but Pacers Nation can be very proud of the effort Paul George put into last night’s contest.  He didn’t the win, but being on a national stage showing off his abilities is a win for fans.

Let’s look at his dunks.

This is Paul George soaring over 7’2″ Roy Hibbert and slamming home his first dunk of the night. Sure he used his hand to push off just a bit, but that’s still something to say to be able to jump over Roy and Dahntay Jones as well. A great start to the night for Paul George.

This is my favorite one of the night, and this has to be up there in dunks. How in the world could he even see where the hoop was to put the dunk through? This is innovative to the max. How could anyone not say this dunk contest was better than usual? This probably should have been saved for last because I think it would have won George the contest.

Here’s the final dunk, where the thought was slamming a sticker of Larry Bird and making the dunk. This is probably where he lost the contest because fans don’t want to give you many chances to make that one dunk.

But overall, what a great night for this up and coming guy. Paul George can be very electric on the floor, and Pacers Nation will be glad to see him around for the years to come.
