Pacer Players to Practice Together Next Week in Indy

Even though it sounds like the NBA lockout if far from over (considering how the recent negotiations went), there’s some news that is somewhat normal coming out of Indy today.

The Pacers will hold a four-day minicamp next week in order to start preparing for the upcoming season…..which may or may not happen.

Still though, while it isn’t much, we at least get to have that normal feeling of players practicing together and actually preparing as a team. If by some miracle the lockout does end sooner than expected, then at least these guys won’t be completely out of it in terms of on-court chemistry and that kind of stuff.

Of course, the chemistry part will likely change anyways due to the unknowns with the labor agreement, so who knows what additions might be made once the lockout is over.

But hey, we’ll take what we can get right now. This little minicamp might not mean much in the grand scheme of things, however, getting all the players together on the same floor in a practice-like atmosphere is a small step towards some type of normalcy.

We’ll see if any more normalcy comes about soon. Ya know, like the guarantee of an actual NBA season.
