I’m waaaay behind on my NBA Offseason perusing and am just seeing this amazing Danny Granger GIF now. Mostly, I’m just insulted that no one had brought it to my attention yet.
Regardless, the Pacers are probably going to need another great night out of the wannabe Caped Crusader here to survive another day. They can’t have the inconsistent Bruce Wayne figure we saw throughout much of the regular season. He needs to be Batman.
Fortunately for Pacers fans, that seems more likely than not. In four 2011 playoff games so far, Danny is averaging 22.0 points, 5.5 boards and 3.3 assists per game — all of which are improvements over his regular season totals.
And while his points and dime totals are considerably higher, nowhere does his postseason improvement show more than in his efficiency. In the first 82 games, he shot 48.7% (eFG%) with a PER of 17.8. Over the past 4 games, he has increased that to 52.0% with a PER of 24.4.
For the first time in a while, this man truly deserves to live in a Bat Cave.
