According to the Associated Press, Indiana Pacers’ Larry Bird says that he will do whatever it takes to win next season for 2010.
Bird has hinted that he will add a point guard on the upcoming draft that is on Thursday. (Author’s Note: Josh Dhani will be attending the Indiana Pacers drat party on June 24th. Look to do a special blog post about it on the 25th, maybe.)
With that, Bird could trade the pick to the Spurs for Tony Parker. Yes, that rumor is still out there and it is crazy, I know. Or could Bird draft Avery Bradley or a guy like Eric Bledsoe in the first round?
Bird has also hinted that Ekpe Udoh may be a fit. Not much on Gordon Hayward, but Bird did say he likes him. But I just hope he doesn’t pick him. If the Pacers want to win, to say at the least: the pick will be retarded.
Bird took another invite with Ekpe Udoh to see more of his skills that he likes. I see Bird making good picks. Don’t be surprised if he picks IUPUI’s Robert Glenn at the 57th pick. That kid is interesting, no doubt about that. But anyways, I see a good draft.
