Conner Let Go

http://www.indy.com/photos/339110/post.jpgAccording to the Indianapolis Star, the Indiana Pacers have let go of their assistant head coach in Lester Conner. Okay, they didn’t fire him really or anything but his contract won’t be renewed. This means he won’t be returning to the team. Conner has always been with Jim O’Brien since their times in Boston, Philly, and Indy. But Jim O’Brien didn’t like his philosophy. And that makes me laugh because he was the winningest coach in the NBA this season, posting a 1-0 record. Now the Pacers will have to look for their next assistant coach. Rick Pitino has said on his website that former NBA athlete Walter McCarty will be set to interview with the team. Sounds like a plan.
