Point Guard Problem

We already heard the news of the A.J. Price injury.

He injured his knee in a charity basketball game in New York and he will now have surgery soon.

But what does that mean for the Pacers, since Price is out for four-to-six months?

Earl Watson will be a free agent this off-season. If Indy is unable to re-sign the point guard, who was a major pickup for the Pacers, playing hard in 52 games; the Pacers will have to look to trade somebody.

Most probably, they will have to trade T.J. Ford.

There was also rumors involving A.J. Price as well going away.

Along with that, this could affect the draft. The Indiana Pacers may change their mind on the tenth pick they are holding right now.

This may force them to pick Texas point guard Avery Bradley.

Right now, it can be a possibility now, even if I or you like it or not. More and more mock drafts are popping up of Bradley to the Pacers.

Here’s something I read from ESPN’s Chad Ford recently:

“The Pacers are one of the most difficult teams to peg right now. They have so many needs and are talking to everyone about moving up, moving down, or maybe even moving out of the draft, according to a number of other teams who have targeted the Pacers’ pick. The Pacers’ biggest need is at point guard. A month ago, I think Bradley would’ve been considered a stretch here, but more and more scouts and GMs believe he could be this year’s Russell Westbrook. Ekpe Udoh, Cole Aldrich, Xavier Henry and Gordon Hayward are also possibilities here, too.”

This is going to get interesting.

In my opinon, I still like Xavier Henry. If he isn’t available, go for Bradley. No Bradley? Udoh. And if there’s no Udoh, the Pacers just look for the best talent, simple.
