It appears that the Pacers will be meeting Kevin Martin as a Houston Rocket for the first time in their team history. Martin was recently involved in a three-team trade involving players like Tracy McGrady and Carl Landry. Martin will re-unite with his former head coach in Rick Adelman. The Pacers look to keep an eye on this kid tonight.
“He’s a unique scorer and that allows the team to function a little bit with all the roles becoming a little bit more defined,” general manager Daryl Morey said.
The Rockets are in contention for the playoffs with a 28-25 record. With Kevin Martin, it may boost them up. As for the team this blog covers, the Pacers, they are no way near contention for the playoffs with their, shall I say, suckish record of 18-36 record. Ah, nothing gets better than having a record like that. With a win percentage of 50, it’s all good. Sarcasm always helps this team out. Now I am getting too carried away here, aren’t I?
But the Pacers can get this Rockets team. I won’t be surprised since they sweeped the season series from last year. The last game between these two was last season when Danny Granger made a tip-in to lead the Pacers towards a 91-90 victory. Granger has been averaging a little over 26 points in his last three games. He’s looking really good.
Indiana looks to snap their four-game losing streak. Time to get into the winning ways.
“We have to develop some consistency,” Granger said. “We’ve been battling with that all year. We haven’t gotten a handle on that, but when we do we will win more games than we lose.”
Right on Granger. The Pacers have about 30 games left this season. They need to make the most of it. No more laziness. More hustle. Get determined. Get more aggressive. It’s time to show all these teams what you’re really made of!
Get aggressive Indy!
