Pacers-Hornets Recap: Hibbert’s Performance Not Enough As Pacers Fall to Hornets, 101-96

The Pacers played a good game against the New Orleans Hornets. It was a close one, but there was no cigar. The fat lady was all for New Orleans. But it was a good day for both city’s sports. One for Indiana, in which the Colts are heading into the AFC Championship and that the Pacers are still making a turnaround. They played a great game. New Orleans is coming off this win and also, the Saints destroying the Arizona Cardinals to head to the NFC Championship. It’s all going good.

Roy Hibbert had a great performance with 27 points and ten rebounds. But Chris Paul and David West fueled the Hornets for victory in this one. Paul had 22 points, eleven assists, and eight rebounds. Danny Granger was quiet in this game, held to 4-of-13 shooting and only twelve points.

“We let them off the hook too much,” said Pacers guard A.J. Price, who had twelve points. “We’ve got to be aggressive and get good looks and knock them down.”

The Pacers three-game winning-streak was snapped. Dahntay Jones made a run in the second half, but it wasn’t enough as it resulted in a 101-96 loss. The Pacers are still dominant, in my opinion, at home. But now, the Pacers are facing a tough task:

They’re going on a three-game road trip.

Uh-oh. Whenever the Pacers are on the road…it ain’t pretty. Indiana will play Miami on the 19th. I hope they can get a win out of this. But right now, at 14-26, things are improving. They are.

They just need to keep climbing that ladder. The ladder to success.
